Telling you about your thin privilege ≠ being “jealous” because “you’re so pretty.”
If that’s honestly your first response for being called out for thin-privilege denial, you’re only furthering the point. “Thin” is not synonymous with “beautiful” and no matter how shitty it is to be told to “eat a sandwich,” it is still not the same as “go die you fat fuck.” Body-shaming is always wrong, but “you’re too skinny!” can’t even compare with the systemic and institutional oppression of fat people. End of story.
