Ignoring for a second the whole fat =/= unhealthy thing.

My health? None of your business.

My health and my body? Is not encouraging anyone else to be healthy or unhealthy.

If keeping fat people out of mainstream media truly inspired individuals to lose or gain wait, then I’d have melted off all this weight magically years ago because literally the only time my body is ever shown in mainstream media it’s as a joke or to shame the fuck out of everybody so they don’t look like me.

All I want is to be able to turn on my tv, go to the movies, open a novel or a comic book, see someone with my body and feel like people who look like me are truly a part of this society because I am being represented.

Caveat: This doesn’t mean I want plot lines centered around my weight. I want the same screen time, the same character development, and the same treatment as everyone else without my weight ever once being mentioned.

None of this “Mike and Molly meet at Over-eaters Anonymous and also they’re fat btw did you know that they are fat just in case you forget it: they’re fat” bullshit.

Because I exist. People with my body exist. I throw just as much money at the entertainment industry as the rest of you and it is just as green. I fucking deserve to be represented. And I fucking deserve to exist without my body being the primary part of my identity.
