I just wanted to address the waxing advert you posted. I grew up in a very hot country and so bared skin and went to the beach - A LOT. I was also a very hairy, quickly developed young girl. I waxed my hairy legs, armpits and bikini line (as I did have fully grown coarse pubic hair). It had nothing to do with oversexualising me, it was about feeling comfortable in a swimming costume shorts and vests around all the other girls my age who had no hair at all yet. There is another side to the coin.

Well yeah. Sure. That doesn’t mean the ad itself isn’t sexualizing girls. And further, it’s contributing to the idea that hair on women is disgusting/unsanitary/bad.
